This is a highly analytical role with the opportunity to make a huge impact on the company’s revenues and interact with senior management. The person must have a demonstrated ability to deliver results under pressure and exhibit great business judgement, along with quantitative skills.

The Senior Analyst of Hotel Revenue Optimisation is responsible for managing pricing and sort of the 2 Billion dollar Lodging product for the Company. The person will work closely with the advanced analytics group and implement optimal pricing rules while monitoring performance on a continuous basis. This position will work closely with the Inventory, Sales and Product teams to develop a coherent pricing and sort strategy, that is aligned with the Company's brand and suppliers’ objectives.

Responsibilities:

 Work with the advanced analytics group to develop actionable, explainable and manageable pricing & sort tactics
 Perform rigorous data analyses of consumer behaviour.
 Monitor performance on a continuous basis and proactively deploy mitigating tactics to manage under-performance
 Work with cross-functional teams across inventory, sales and product to understand business goals and deliver pricing policies to optimise those goals
 Analyse performance at a variety of levels and communicate drivers and recommendations to management
 Perform competitive benchmarking of the Company's pricing and recommend business and technology solutions to bridge any gaps

Qualifications:

 Quantitative Bachelors Degree in a quantitative field such as Operations Research, Operations Management, Business Administration or Economics required
 3+ years of experience in an analytical role within a business group required
 Previous quantitative experience with an airline / hotel revenue management group or with an internet company highly desired
 Willingness to work with large messy data-sets
 Understanding of business rules engines highly desired
 Proficiency at SQL and MS Excel and SAS (desirable
