The Revenue Optimisation group is responsible for driving optimal pricing, placement and product recommendations across all of the Company’s brands and domestic and international points of sale. Using advanced analytics and optimisation methods, the group delivers millions of dollars of incremental revenue, thereby making a direct and substantial impact to the Company’s bottom-line. The Company’s approach to optimisation is agile and elegant in implementation, but grounded in deep and rigorous analyses of data.
The Senior Manager of Lodging Revenue Optimisation will spearhead a variety of optimisation initiatives to optimise a two billion dollar lodging product. This person will lead a team of scientists and analysts to develop industry leading solutions for optimising the pricing, sort and recommendations of the hotel product. The person will champion revenue optimisation across the organisation and define the algorithmic and technology road-map for the future. The person will own the performance targets of the lodging product and will work closely with the sales & inventory team to hit those targets.

Responsibilities:
Develop an industry leading solution to pricing, sort and revenue optimization across all brands and points of sale.
Mentor a high-performance analytic team developing sophisticated algorithms to optimise revenues.
Work with cross-functional teams across engineering and product management to create business requirements for new product development.
Prioritise new product & feature roadmap and author business requirements.
Work closely with the sales team and deliver revenue management tools to empower them with better information and tools in the market.
Champion the adoption of new revenue management tools. Train sales force on new products and features.
Analyse performance at a variety of levels and communicate drivers and recommendations to management.
Qualifications:
A Masters in a quantitative field such as Marketing Statistics, Operations Research, Operations Management or Economics required.
5-7 years of experience in a managerial & analytical role required.
Previous quantitative experience in the internet industry required. Travel industry experience is a plus.
Hands-on experience with statistical and optimization methods required. Prior experience managing analytical teams required.
Demonstrated ability to structure a large business problem into tractable components.
Proficiency at SQL, SAS and MS Excel.
